How to increase Divination Cards drop rate?

The Hoarder – Find 12 cards for an exalt. They probably have close to the same drop rate as an exalt, but you need 12 of them.

Kept farming The Fellshrine Ruins from 60 to 67. Merc Shrine has 3 cards possible.

Why do I get a drop nerf on everything for getting higher level that dont make sense I should get a buff cause its harder to find gear when im almost maxed and can never find an upgrade that is a real upgrade instead of just changing stats to other stats (this isnt an upgrade)

Frankly The Hermit is laughable. A leveling wand drops less that a 10x GCP recipe, and you can buy it for 1 damn chaos! Whats the point of such cards…

Divination Cards are facing the exact same issue right now, who the fuck wants to farm zones 10-20 levels under yourself in the end for a specific card? Its literally Corrupted Zones all over again, just tedious.Participated in the working of the Dyadus Avatar of Fire Templar:

If youre gonna make them as rare as they are, make some 1-card use div cards.

Really would love some developer feedback/responses about this.

Like, whats the problem in improving droprates hard on Currency, on Exalted as an example? Holy shit, people MIGHT EVEN USE THEM! What a disaster that would be, right? Ive used 1 Exalted in my entire PoE-career, with 2.5k hours played. That says a lot, Ive never felt a reason to use an Exalted when I can just use it as a 100 dollar bill and buy a better item instead.

I just say get rid of them all together. If they are going to have such a horrible drop rate and provide such horrible rewards. What is the point of even keeping them in the game?Last edited by Mentoya on Jul 17, 2015 10:46:24 AM

They should make all the cards drop anywhere with a lower drop rate. Then have certain cards have a HIGHER drop rate in specific areas. This way you could find any of the cards anywhere, but if you wanted to grind for a specific card you still could. Also drop rates need a slight increase all around. GGG is terrible with drop rates. Apparently they hate the idea of fun.

Its just another perfect way of showing how fucking awful droprates truly are really.

The drop rate in the beta was a little high, but not too much.

I think this is a great idea that needs to happen.

Cards are affected by increase quantity. But theyve decreased the drop rates on them from Beta, so it makes even less sense to try to farm them. Keep playing. Use the cards as a gee-whiz moment and someday you might turn in a set.

I guess the only thing these cards are good for is trading to newbies, who dont understand that 1 chaos is worth more than 1 battleborn card.

One zone per card is kinda laughable.

Please dont tell me Im the only one fearing for the future of PoE, Ive told my friends around the game, and they quit it rather quickly because the items they picked up wasnt even used, it was stored into some trading currency.

Divination Cards: Wonderful idea, piss poor execution.

The highest area is 70 I think 92 is WAY higher then 70 maybe my math is wrong

The single, most retarded thing that kills divination cards are penalties for overleveling. It makes it literally impossible to get entire set if it consist of more than 5 cards because by the time you finish you will outlevel location by a bloody mile.

To add to that: make all cards drop in any maps, at a slightly reduced rate as per above.

Therenext we got some Skill Gems are still having the Mandatory Quality Bonus issue, yet GCP is still a forgotten currency which people refuse to trade for obvious reasons, but its still completely worthless to Quality a gem up if its under 14% Quality, you might aswell buy one then, youll save so much currency that way.

Thus negating literally the sole reason that they exist.

I tried farming The Scholar after that and found well over 40 scrolls from chests, pots, scribe racks, and mobs before I found 1/3 of a set…

If your heart is set on a specific set, youre better off trading for it.

Thats for common cards – the rare cards have such bullshit drop rate its not even worth it. You will drop more Windrippers in your entire PoE carrer and you will never finish card set playing self found.

For science I was farming Fetid Pool cruel – dropped 3 cards pretty fast, then got another 2 in the next 200 runs (!) and before Ive got 6th I was 55 (started farming at 43). How cool is that? (reward was just insult to the injury after that insane grind – animate weapon…)

Sadly true… I tried farming for the 20 fusings card in docks. I actually laughed my ass off after Id gathered 20 fusings the old fashioned way(jewelers + fusings) while Im still anticipating my first divination card from that pack.

But nothing will get changed, just remember the Self-Found League we had, it was horrendous how bad it was.

Jack in the Box Divination Cards are the only one I keep. I just destroy every other card I get, because the reward isnt worth me keeping them in my stash….Pathetic rewards…….What was GGG thinking???

I really wish we could get some developer feedback on what the thinking behind the nerf was, and why some are just stupid rare for what they reward. I found 2 unique items and 3 unique jewels in the time I found 1 jack in the box in a day earlier this week, which is still only 1/4th of a unique. Just does not make any logical sense to me. Farming merciless docks and ebony barracks from level 64-72 with 70 IIR solo over a couple hours/all day.

As an incentive for trading its garbage – regular currency does the job better.Last edited by Marrond on Jul 17, 2015 9:22:26 AM

Same with scrolls of wisdom card from Library/Archives – got 3 pretty quickly, then gradually as I was outleveling the location they simply refuse to drop. As a matter of fact I had better luck with currency drops than with divination cards on massivelly outleveled areas (15c on area 20 lvls lower in one evening versus 1 divination card of some subpar crap).

On top of all that, theyre also affected by the drop rate penalty.
