but i tell u its just fo try, fo peep n fo know
Of course the true impact highly depends on the developers (balance its rarity, determine how many youll need to complete a stack, and assign it to drop in specific locations.) and can only be verefied once the implementation is done. But this will not stop me post this thread! Here are my predictions in the future
3.Player who WTB a legacy unique might worth waiting a few weeks
2.Player who has a lot exalted orb should either change some of them to chaos or buy something
Takes an inexperienced player to say that standard economy is irrelevant.. Most of this games population is in standard. You should stop thinking that your personal preferences are universal.Anybody can become angry – that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way – that is not within everybodys power and is not easy.
1.Player who has multi legacy unique item should sell them now
I like the POE economy system and I would like to here your thoughts about the impact of the new Divination cards on economy system.
I imagine it will curb how expensive super popular uniques can become. Cloak of defiance for example were going for like 6 ex in the recent 1 month hardcore league because the best builds all wanted it. Its not a particularly rare unique, so if there was a way to reliably farm them it would have kept the price more in line with its rarity.
Divination cards influence on economy system
3.The exchange ratio for top tier currency might be reduced if there is a Divination card for that (e.g. exalted orb worth less chaos). This is also due to the fact that chaos orb might have an increasing demand(consumption) in the future.
However this will also increase the price in 1 and 2 since most of them is now calculated by exalted orb. So I think it probably would end up like this, lets say a shavronne wrapping is 30ex now, it probably would still worth 30ex or slightly cheaper but at the same time exalted orb is cheaper too (e.g. 1ex=20chaos).
Welp that didnt take longGuild Leader of [UMBRÄ] Umbra Exiles
For example, how do you balance acquiring a Shavs through the divination system? You have to collect 40 Chaos divination cards and each of the Chaos divination cards has a drop rate equal to an exalted orb. Or lets say you have a 5% chance to get one per boss kill in area x but you need 50 divination cards. So roughly 1,000 boss runs would be needed to acquire a shavs.
Whats your opinion on the impact of the Divination cards on economy system?
Now with divination cards, if you see a certain unique as rising in value or orbs decreasing in value, you can invest as you go, making things a whole lot easier for people who are behind in the race.IGN: Ikimashouka, Tsukiyattekudasai, DontCallMeMrFroyo
This is just my outlook on how the system will realistically be designed and implemented.
ITT: A lot of wild, baseless predictions and someone who cares about Standards economy like it means anything. Divination cards will make some items easier to get, but thats not going to have an effect on legacies. In temporary leagues, the ex:chaos ratio and the price of an item change as the league progresses and more items are added in; theres no reason to assume that people will just stick with the same EX value for their items.
2.The price* for expensive rare unique (e.g. shavronne wrapping) item will be cheaper but it depends on the developers.detailssuppose the rarity for each card equals 1/N of the rarity of current drop rate, where N is the number of cards in a stack, the more you need to complete a stack the cheaper it will be. However I can not eliminate the possibility that those unique price might become even more expensive if the card drop rate is really low (much lower than 1/N) or limited in certain area such as Uber Atziri. But this actually against the purpose of introducing divination cards thus I think it is unlikely to happen.

1.The price* for Legacy and league only unique item (e.g. polls devotion) in standard league will be significantly reduced. Because there will be more supply.
E.g. you save up for a week or two (or more!) for a good item and get maybe halfway to your goal, then something happens in the economy and you are set back to 25% to your goal. This could be fluctuating orb values, changing unique valuations, all sorts of stuff. In these cases, only the currently rich profit from risk-taking and foresight since theyre the only ones that can afford the investment.
They are balanced by rarity and intended to be acquired by mass trading. This system is probably not going to be a currency generator as in, you wont be farming divination cards to get rich. You will probably still be using other methods. But if youre say, self-found, or a league is fresh and the item doesnt exist, or you simply have a lot of time you can waste farming for the item, this system might be beneficial for you.
The cards havnt even been released yet. I think you are about 6-8 weeks ahead of yourself. We just have to wait and see.
