; literally: throwing poe, also called as bwa bwei, cast moon blocks) is a traditionalmethod, in which the divination seeker throws or drops two little wooden pieces on the floor and gets the divine answer by the positions of the pieces whether the future course being contemplated is recommended or not. The pieces, called Poe (Bwei) inTaiwane搜索引擎优化rJiaobeiinMandarin, look somewhat like two shells of aclamor bivalve mollusk.

Poe divination can be observed atTaoisttemples, such asGuangdi templesandMazu temples, not only inChinaandTaiwan, but also in the rest of the world.
