I spend a lot of my free time either with friends, listening to music, or building up some kind of skill. So far there have been eleven answers to the question, What do you usually do in your free time? and none of the answers, strangely enough, contains the word television. I have read somewhere that Americans spend an average of six hours a day watching television. I like to watch professional football on television, but otherwise I avoid it because of all those insane commercials. I subscribe to Netflix and try to have something to watch every night from around five to around eight or night, the only hours I really consider my spare time. I watch highbrow dramatic stuff and lowbrow thrillers and documentaries. Sometimes I dont want to be edified but just to wallow in mindless chewing gum for the eyes. I often watch favorite movies over and over again. If Im doing anything constructive, I dont consider that really spare time.
When its summer vacation, spring break, or the holidays, I usually spend my time drawing and painting, other times, I really like working out or doing sports. Im an exercise science major and being fit is my motto. When I have school and I have free time, I usually study and work out as well.

In my free time I like to practice my Korean and Chinese by watching Kdramas and Taiwanese dramas. I just use that as an excuse to get away with watching dramas haha. But besides that I love reading books and looking for ones that I find interesting. At the moment I am working on getting the last book in the Mortal Instrument series.

Sorry… In real life, my favorite thing to do in my spare time is to read. I used to like to play all sorts of sports (particularly basketball, volleyball, and tennis) but I am no longer able to do that because my knees will not let me.
