-No, IIQ and IIR on your gear will not affect map drops, regardless if you get the killing blow or your minions do. Theonlything that influences that is the direct map-IIQ on the map itself. To get higher map-IIQ, you need to roll more mods on the Map, AKA harder maps = more map drops. Its like this to prevent players abusing it (ie. Stacking a s***load of IIR/IIQ and running white maps and getting a s***load of returns).

In addition to what Fritter has said, youll definitely want Zana in your hideout. Basically, shes a safety net so you never run out of Maps, at least for low and mid tier Maps.
Or is it pointless to do so? Im finding it hard to keep up with maps, so I wanted to increase my item quantity. Do equips even matter with minions or only if I deal the killing blow? Divination Distillate? Jewels? Etc..

Pretty sure that item quantity bonuses do not affect map drops. If youre struggling the maintain a map base the best thing you can do is roll them for more packsize.
